Valentine's Day

I really have got to do better about posting stuff, but here are some things that have happened over the past few months. Here are some pics from Valentine's Day. Caleb thought it was great to make a lot of noise with his new drum. What was I thinking when I bought hime that and Ashlyn insisted that we make cookies. She had a blast shaking all the sprinkles on. They didn't look the best, but they tasted great.

Michael wanted cookies the other night to take around to some families that he is suppose to visit. Of course, Ashlyn wanted to help. She figured out the best part of making cookies with Mom is licking the beater!

Blue Bell Baby

Check out the shirt. Michael's aunt and uncle sent us this t-shirt from Texas. Caleb is definitely our Blue Bell Baby. He is already eyeing my ice cream and trying to steal my spoon. It is a great thing that we can still get our Blue Bell fix even here in North Carolina!

Christmas in Utah

The kids and I just got back last week from a 3 week trip to Utah. Michael came out for a few days to celebrate Christmas with us and then back to work for him. We had so much fun out there in all the snow. It snowed so much. Ashlyn wasn't quite sure of it at first, but she learned to love it. She went sledding and had a blast. She played outside with her cousins and was wading through snow that was up to her knees. It was great until she had a hard time walking back to the house in it. Caleb is getting so big. He goes in for his 6 month check up the end of this week and I'm nervous to see how big he is. Here are some pics from our trip.

Halloween

Ashlyn, of course, had to be a princess and Caleb was our little Superman. We had so much fun trick or treating with our cousins, we only wish we lived a bit closer.

Carving Pumpkins

One day I'll remember to add the pictures in the right order...Anyway here is the fun we had carving pumpkins with my sister's kids. Ashlyn wasn't too sure about getting her hands dirty in the pumpkin to clean it out. I think I ended up doing most of the work.

Caleb's Blessing

Caleb was blessed on Sunday, October 26, 2008. It was a bit different than what I expected, but it turned out great just the same. My parents and Tonya's family all came into town. My brother's family was suppose to be here too, but it didn't quite work out with the flights. We also had Mike's brother's family over for the blessing. We had a big house full of people. It was great for Caleb's special day. We had planned on blessing Caleb at church, but Michael ended up getting really sick on Saturday night and could hardly get out of bed on Sunday. The bishop gave us permission to bless Caleb at the house with my dad and Brandon helping out Michael. Michael got off the couch just long enough to stand up and bless Caleb and then he was back down. It took him a few days, but finally got over the stomach bug he had. I was amazed that only Ashlyn and my mom got a bit of it. Thank goodness it didn't spread any farther than that with all the people we had here, it was a miracle. We had a great time with everyone here, and I'll post more pictures of our outings later. I was so blessed that everyone could come share Caleb's special day with us.
