We decided to give another go at a garden this year. Last year, it didn't do so well, but this year it has been doing fantastic. We've already gotten a couple of zucchinis, cucumbers, tomatoes, and lots of green onions. We have a few squash growing right now, but not quite ready to pick. We had one of the zucchinis the other night and it was actually good. We haven't tried the cucumbers yet. Last year we ended up getting some kind of lemon cucumbers and they were gross, hopefully these will be a normal variety of cucumbers.

Ashlyn Turns 5!
Ashlyn is 5 and I can't believe it. Where does the time go??? On her birthday she told me that since she was 5 she didn't have to listen to me anymore...Can we say ATTITUDE??? I promptly corrected her that she will be listening to me for the rest of her life!
We had a great birthday party with our family, her aunt, uncle, cousins, and grandad. I attempted to make a flower birthday cake (Didn't turn out exactly as I had planned. Don't trust the directions when it says you can use Pam instead of shortening and flour to grease the pan. It stuck!) and dirt cupcakes. Ashlyn couldn't figure out at first what I had put on the top of the cupcakes, especially after I insited it was in fact dirt. She didn't believe me and she finally figured it out.
She is super excited to have her birthday party with her friends, but we had a wait a while. We are going to the movies to see How To Train Your Dragon and we had to wait until it was in the theater. I hope it is good!

Caleb's Latest Booboo!
Our son is a magnet for getting hurt. He's not even two yet and he has had staples in his bum and stitches on his face. Last Saturday, he missed a step on the back porch and did a face plant. I come outside and he has blood all over him. I couldn't figure out where he was even bleeding from! We thought his head might even need a stitch because it wouldn't stop bleeding, but after a quick visit to our neighbor (who's a doctor) we learned he wouldn't need any. Hopefully one day he'll become a bit more graceful. I doubt it though...he is a true boy!
They're gone!
My parents finally left for their mission this morning at 6:00 AM! They make it down to Trindad around 9:00 tonight. It is crazy to think that the time is actually here for them to leave. They will make great missionaries and have a beautiful place to serve in! Hopefully this Christmas we will be able to make it down there to visit.
